Chad began playing ice hockey when he was 5 years old and competed on various travel teams for the Des Moines Buccaneers. When Chad is not playing hockey he also plays golf for Valley High School and enjoys reading and writing in his free time. Chad has two younger brothers, Grant and Drew, and his post high school plans include going to college.
