Height:   5-7
Weight:   170
Position:   Forward
Grade:   Senior
School:   Johnston

Ryan has played hockey now for ten years; he started in the third grade. Ryan’s interest in hockey started when skating outside in North Dakota while he visited family for the holidays when he was a kid. Ryan started off playing house league and has moved his way up to select and travel teams. He has always played for Des Moines teams and has lived in Johnston his whole life. He has been involved in many activities and sports over the span of his school years. He has played everything from soccer, swimming and football to things like paintballing and snowboarding. He has been the Student Council class Vice-President for the last three years, and has also participated in T.S.A (Technology Student Association). He has held jobs at Presto Pizza and for about the last year and a half at Ruby Tuesday. In the off-season you can usually find Ryan lifting/working out, riding the Ninja, boating, hanging with his friends, and doing something outside (fishing or camp fires). Ryan plans on attending the University of Iowa in their Dental Program, but has no idea where his life will end up. One thing that is for sure, hockey will play a big role in it.
