President's Letter

Welcome Oak Leafs Hockey Fans!

Here we are back at the rink, excited for another great season of Midwest High School Hockey action! As president of the Des Moines Oak Leafs, I would like to welcome and thank you for spending some time with us. The Des Moines Oak leafs have had tremendous success the past several years by working hard and going all in with team commitment.

I look forward to another successful year, with Coach Richer and Coach Rose returning, along with the addition of Mike Gannon to the coaching staff. The returning Oak Leafs, along with a first rate draft this year will give us the edge to compete in every game this season.

The board would like to give special thanks to all the volunteers who help make our hockey program a success, year after year. It would be impossible to experience the outstanding achievements we have had as a team, and as a program, any other way.

We would also like to extend our most sincere appreciation to our sponsors for their new and continued support of our Oak Leafs organization. Many of you are included on the Sponsors Page under the LINKS menu on this website. We would ask that in your consumer making decisions you would please consider the community support that these fine sponsors provide our organization. Please support the sponsors who support us!

Finally, thanks to our loyal Oak Leafs fans! You help create the atmosphere that is such a big part of our home ice advantage. You can see the smiles on the face of the players from the stands when hearing the cheers of their classmates, friends and relatives! We really appreciate our fans and the time you spend here helping to promote a spirit of good sportsmanship for the great game of hockey we all love!
