| Head Coach's Letter Hello, Oak Leafs fans! I am excited to welcome you to the 2011 - 2012 Midwest High School Hockey season. The coaching staff and I look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence in Des Moines high school hockey. The Oak Leaf organization is dedicated to the development of its players both on and off the ice. Hard work, team play, sportsmanship, perseverance, and responsibility are vital to the success of any team. Our accomplishments over the past thirteen years are a direct reflection of our dedication to these values. As we move into the season, we have a core group of Juniors and Seniors, along with some hungry underclassman who are dedicated to getting us back to the top of the league. They have worked extremely hard this off-season and have already made me proud. Our players are ready for their hard work to pay off and are anxious to give their fans something to cheer about. I'm sure I'm as excited as you are to watch these young men make the most of the season. I appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you at the rink. Keep your head up and your stick on the ice,
