Congratulations to Des Moines Oak Leafs senior Quinn Glock and Des Moines Capitals senior Beckett LaPrade on receiving a $1000 Scholarship Award in honor of Craig Long. While his son, Scott is currently the coach of the Des Moines Oak Leafs, Craig Long was a long time and avid supporter of hockey in Des Moines. After his passing, the Des Moines Youth Hockey Association established this scholarship to be awarded each year to a graduating senior on both teams as a way to honor and remember Craig and his contributions to hockey in Des Moines. Pictured here are Quinn and Beckett along with Craig's grandchildren: Avary, Brooklyn, Jacob, Emma, Brody and Hudson.
