Oak Leafs Pre Tryout Clinic

The Des Moines Oak Leafs Tryout Camp is built to identify and develop players ready to compete at a high level in Iowa high school hockey. This camp gives athletes the opportunity to showcase their skill, speed, and compete level in a fast-paced environment.

Players will be evaluated on:

• Skating power and edge work

• Puck skills and decision-making under pressure

• Offensive and defensive awareness

• Compete level and battle intensity

• Conditioning and work ethic

• Coachability and team-first mindset

Athletes will participate in focused skill sessions, small-area competitions, and full-ice scrimmages that mirror real game situations. Coaches will evaluate talent, leadership, and character.

This is more than a clinic. It’s an opportunity to earn your spot and elevate your game.

This tryout camp is intended for players that will be entering grades 9-12 in the 2026/2027 school year. Please register using the grade they will be in for the 2026/2027 school year.
